For most of my 40 years taking photographs I have valued maximizing sharpness, detail and depth of field. I initially accomplished this by using a tilt shift lens utilizing the Scheimpflug principle. As software and camera/lens technologies have improved I attempted these considerations by using the best camera bodies and lenses I could afford, using the sharpest aperture, and focus stacking when appropriate.
